UniMac® at HIP2018 | Hospitality Innovation Planet
UniMac maintained its world-leading position in the laundry industry by attending the Hospitality Innovation Planet (HIP 2018) event in Madrid, Feb. 19-21. The show was focused on the HORECA sector, and presented the latest trends, products and technologies. UniMac introduced its own solutions, geared toward providing the best return-on-investment and ensuring a cost-effective in-house laundry solution.
“We were quite surprised by the attendance of the event, which was close to 20,000 visitors. It was a good opportunity to display our latest laundry solutions, such as the new UniMac UY350 machine,“ said Andrés Clarós, key account manager-Spain. “We reached a lot of professionals from hospitality and nursing home sectors, who are our targets in the market.“
In addition to the UY350 softmount washer-extractor, UniMac showed a UU075 tumble dryer and a UH240 hygienic barrier washer-extractor.
“Presenting the new UY350 machine had a big impact, especially with our main competitors participating as well. Our key action was to introduce the machine to professionals and the general public to get feedback from these potential customers. Thanks to its production quality, robust image, aesthetics and ergonomics you can manage the toughest laundry challenges. Based on these features we got an outstanding response,” Clarós said.
Visitors to the UniMac booth also were interested in the brand’s in-house laundry financing solution and options for maintenance contracts.
“Our dedicated financial team of laundry experts is able to create a customized solution to match the buyer’s budget needs. In addition, we are completely independent of banks or financial institutions, which is attractive to laundry managers looking to upgrade equipment,” Clarós said. “Plus, our products are backed by a local, highly knowledgeable support staff.”
Most contacts from the show have led to personal visits to potential customers’ facilities. We hope to participate in the event next year as well, as it is a helpful opportunity for our growth in Spain, Clarós added.
